James Oleson Jr. is a sculptor and painter. His work has been exhibited at numerous galleries and his work can be found in many private collections throughout the United States.

He has pieces in permanent collections at Crealde’ School of Art, The Industrial Arts Center, and Lake Wales Art Center Sculpture Garden. His work can also be found in the corporate collections of Brooksville City Hall, Ocala City Hall, and the Hernando County School System.

He is the recipient of many awards and grants including 2010 Best in Show at ArtLoud Tampa, Best of Show Kissimmee Sculpture Experience, and the Outstanding You Award from Southwest Art Magazine. He teaches sculpture and painting classes at Morean Arts Center, Industrial Art Center, and The Dazzio School of Art. He also serves as Exhibition Director for International Society of Acrylic Painters.

Now he is working on his passion in downtown St. Petersburg at The Oleson Gallery/Bloom Art Center, but we feature a small, ever changing gallery of some of James’ best work here at Boyett’s Citrus and Attraction.
